A one-month offline research internship programme at ISI Chennai Centre during December 2026.
Applications are invited for the Winter Internship Programme 2026 at the Indian Statistical Institute, Chennai Centre.
The programme provides undergraduate and postgraduate students an opportunity to work with ISI Chennai faculty members and researchers in advanced areas of Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science and interdisciplinary research.
The internship will be conducted in offline mode for a duration of one month during December 2026.
The program is open to eligible students from any academic institution in India.
B.Sc., B.E./B.Tech., M.Sc., M.E./M.Tech. students are eligible.
Work with faculty members and researchers on emerging scientific problems.
Applicants must have successfully completed atleast the second year of their undergraduate programme at the time of commencement.
Applicants pursuing postgraduate programmes must have completed atleast the first year.
Students from Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science and related fields may apply.
Selected interns will receive a consolidated amount of ₹8,000 for the one-month internship, subject to satisfactory participation and successful completion of the programme.
Statistical modelling, probability, data analysis and computational statistics.
Artificial intelligence, machine learning, algorithms and computing research.
Pure mathematics, applied mathematics, optimization and mathematical modelling.
Students can apply their internship applications with required documents.

Accommodation will not be provided by the Institute. Selected candidates must make their own arrangements during the internship period.
Submit your details, Recommendation letter from HOD, academic transcript and Statement of Purpose (SOP) through Google form.
